In a landmark deal expected to last through 2024, online sportsbook giant Bet365 has been named the official betting operator (OBO) for the PGA Tour.
As part of the agreement, Bet365 sportsbook – which will also be the PGA’s first OBO based outside of North America – will provide fans in New Zealand, Ireland and United Kingdom with exclusive access to odds, leaderboards, and player statistics.
Bet365 will also be granted the right to make use of PGA Tour marks, as well as the permission to advertise via Tour media and the platforms of its partner organizations.
Bet365’s logos and corporate identity will be shown prominently across the PGA Tour’s media properties, including those operated by Discovery on platforms in New Zealand, Ireland, Australia, and Canada.
Scott Warfield, VP of PGA Tour Gaming, expressed his excitement upon the announcement of the partnership, stating that “Bet365 was the first operator to integrate the Tour’s official in-play betting product and they are poised for tremendous growth being at the forefront of in-play sports betting in golf. The Tour continues to look for opportunities to innovate in new gambling areas with a goal of engaging with fans.”
